Dating App Comparison 2026: Which One Actually Works?

Mainstream, casual or niche – our three-tier system cuts through the marketing and tells you which dating app fits your actual goal. No sponsored rankings.

Most dating app comparisons answer the wrong question. They ask: “Which app has the most users?” We ask: “What are you actually looking for right now?”

An app with 80 million profiles won’t help you if half of them haven’t logged in since 2024 – and if you don’t want a relationship anyway, just someone for Thursday night.

The Three-Tier Model

We organise every dating app into three categories:

Tier 1 – Mainstream: Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OKCupid, Match. Large pools, socially accepted, suitable for almost everyone. Prices from free to ~$50/month.

Tier 2 – Casual / Adult: AdultFriendFinder, Ashley Madison, Feeld. Clear intent, more honest about the goal. Prices: $0 (women) to $110+/month (men).

Tier 3 – Niche: Parship, ElitePartner (DACH premium relationship), Seeking (sugar dating). Very defined audience, higher qualification, higher prices.

What We Don’t Do

We don’t review apps we haven’t tested. We don’t publish unverified prices. No affiliate links. Every CTA is generic – we earn nothing when you open an app.

Where to Start

→ You want a relationship: Mainstream Tier Guide, start with Bumble or Hinge.

→ You know what you want and it’s not standard: Casual Guide.

→ You want the full comparison table: Main Matrix.

How We Test

Active accounts on every platform. Prices verified October/November 2026. Conversion rates from reader surveys (n≥200 per app). Fake-profile tracking over 90 days.
